I an hardworking, innovative, caring and analytical Christian woman and entrepreneur with a positive mindset. My faith is important to me and I value honesty, kindness and doing what is right. To be precise, I am ethical. I value the same from a man. I am also family orientated. I like to look on the brighter side of life, and always focusing on the positives and always grateful for what I have.
I love listening to music, dancing, walking, keeping fit, eating out, networking, travelling, reading.
I have two children (a boy and a girl, old enough to start their own families - moved out). I divorce more than 10 years ago (I never changed my surname - I kept my maiden name). I would love to have more children, only if my partner wants more, but it would take God's grace, may not be natural conception.
My man has to be emotionally available, consistent and someone who communicates openly and shares my values and is interested in building a meaningful relationship. Mutual attraction matters to me, alongside friendship, respect and enjoying each other's company. I am not perfect and I always take responsibility for my own mistake and expect the same from my partner. I do not believe in a blame culture. I do not begrudge. I tend to forgive, though it is not always easy to forget.
I'd like time to get to know each other and allow a connection to grow naturally, with clear intentions and respect.

Good afternoon,
Thank you.
@Mark,
Great live the other day. I learnt a lot, including what not to include in a dating profile. My profile has lots of those. I am happy with it considering you approve.
I will keep in touch here, as per your advice. I believe this thread is adquate.
Kind regards
Talia
@talia I'm so glad that it helped! Yes, I would have taught you this month ago but you resisted so strongly opening a dating profile. You open one, then closed it. Then insisted for weeks that you didn't want to open one, finally outright refusing 🤷

@Mark: I understand I am a bit of a tough cookie sometimes, learning to let my guard down. Its the journey and road that I am willing to take. Thank you once again for your patience and support.
The problem isn't that you're a tough cookie. You have been emotionally unavailable. Emotional unavailability isn't shown in whether or not we think that we're available. It's shown in the way that we behave.
That's an important lesson when it comes to observing how others behave also: if we listen to their words, "I'm ready to find love!" But watch them continue to dig in their heels and self-sabotage... Then no, they're not ready for love
They are - like you have been - emotionally unavailable.
When we begin to recognize our own unavailability we start to more easily recognize others
When we experience the work that it takes to become emotionally available we begin understanding what to look for to determine if others are emotionally available
It's not being hard-headed.

@coach (managed to access on mobile - this time used coach, didn’t drive)
Thank you, Mark.
I agree, somehow. I’m open to reflecting on my behaviour. Could you give specific examples of what you see as emotional unavailability or self-sabotage, and explain what a healthier response would look like? That would help me understand your feedback and distinguish protective boundaries from patterns I may need to change.
I am actively working on my 4 pillars 24/7. Making remarkable progress.
looking forward to hearing from you.
kind regards
Talia
I have opened a dating profile here, is it not good enough?

Hi Talia! While I occasionally pitch in thoughts, coaching is reserved for clients. I'm sure you understand. You could refer back to your prior thread which likely contains some feedback on that. Alternatively, you can always ask for me not to post to your threads.

"Good enough" for what or to who? The Open Online Dating forum is provided as a free resource for those wanting to list themselves in a dating forum!

Good morning Mark,
I hope you are well.
Thank you for your responses and for clarifying your position. I completely understand and respect that coaching is reserved for current clients.
My question about emotional unavailability and self-sabotage was simply intended to better understand your earlier observations. These are significant assessments, and I was hoping to understand the specific behaviours that led you to those conclusions so that I could reflect on them constructively and continue developing personally.
Regarding my dating profile, when I asked whether it was “good enough”, I meant whether creating a profile on the platform counts as taking practical action towards meeting someone, particularly in light of your earlier encouragement to move from thinking and analysing into action.
I wasn't seeking approval or asking whether my profile was good enough for anyone in particular. I was simply reflecting on the steps I have taken towards my goal.
I appreciate the feedback you have provided and will revisit our previous discussions. I also have no objection to you contributing to my threads. I value constructive feedback and different perspectives, even when they challenge my own understanding.
Thank you again, and I wish you well.
Kind regards
Talia
