Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

TikTok Login
Dating Success Engine offers visitors the option to register, log in, or link their existing account using TikTok’s official “Login with TikTok” service (“TikTok Login Kit”). If you choose to use this feature, the following applies.
Information we receive from TikTok
When you authorize Dating Success Engine to connect with your TikTok account, TikTok provides us with the following information, limited to what you have made available on your public TikTok profile:
- Your TikTok display name (nickname) and @username
- Your TikTok profile photo
- Your TikTok bio/description
- Whether your TikTok account is verified
- Your public follower count, following count, likes count, and video count
- A link to your public TikTok profile
- A unique TikTok account identifier (“Open ID”), used only to recognize your account on return visits
We do not receive, and TikTok does not provide, your real/legal name, email address, phone number, password, private messages, or any private/non-public TikTok data through this feature.
How we use this information
We use the information above to:
- Create or update your Dating Success Engine account
- Display your connected TikTok profile information on your account page
- Recognize you on future visits if you log in with TikTok again
We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in the “Sharing of Information” section of this Privacy Policy [or: except as required by law].
Account creation and email addresses
Because TikTok does not provide an email address, if you register using TikTok Login we will either (a) ask you to provide an email address separately, or (b) assign a placeholder, non-functional email address to your account until you choose to add your own. Storage and security
Your TikTok access credentials (tokens) are stored in encrypted form on our servers and are never displayed to you or any other user. We use these tokens only to periodically refresh the profile information listed above; we do not use them to take any action on your TikTok account, post on your behalf, or access private data.
Disconnecting your TikTok account
You may disconnect your TikTok account from Dating Success Engine at any time from your account page. Disconnecting removes the TikTok profile data and stored tokens from our systems. If you originally registered using TikTok Login, disconnecting does not delete your underlying Dating Success Engine account — it simply removes the TikTok link. You may also revoke [Site Name]’s access directly from TikTok’s app settings (“Manage Account” → “Apps and Websites” in the TikTok app), which will require you to re-authorize before logging in with TikTok again.
Retention
We retain TikTok profile information for as long as your account remains connected, and for 30 days after you disconnect or delete your account, after which it is permanently deleted from our active systems.
For users in the EU/UK/EEA (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or European Economic Area, the following applies to our processing of your TikTok profile information:
- Legal basis for processing. We process the TikTok profile data described above on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given at the moment you click to connect or log in with TikTok. No TikTok data is collected before you take that action.
- Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by disconnecting your TikTok account from your Dating Success Engine account page, or by contacting us at [support email]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and does not affect any other legal basis we may separately rely on for the rest of your account (e.g., contract performance for the core service).
- International transfers. Because TikTok’s services may process and store data outside the EU/UK/EEA, your TikTok profile information may be transferred internationally as part of that authentication process, in each case relying on the transfer safeguards TikTok itself has in place as a data provider (see TikTok’s own Privacy Policy for details of its cross-border transfer mechanisms).
- Your rights. In addition to the rights already described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port the TikTok profile data we hold about you, and to object to its processing, by contacting us at [support email]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
- Data minimization. We only request the
user.info.basicscope from TikTok, meaning we never receive — and therefore never process — your email, phone number, precise location, or any private TikTok content.
For California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you specific rights regarding the personal information described in this section. The categories of personal information we collect via TikTok Login, and the purpose for each, are:

We do not sell or “share” (as CCPA/CPRA defines that term, including for cross-context behavioral advertising) any TikTok-derived personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information via TikTok Login.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and the purpose (set out above)
- Delete the personal information we hold about you, which you can do immediately and without contacting us by using the “Disconnect TikTok” control on your account page, or by requesting full account deletion at [support email]
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of sale/sharing — not applicable, as we do not sell or share this data
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
